Workers Compensation and Personal Injury
Joanne Lin is a Workers' Compensation Case Manager at Emran Law Firm. Ms. Lin graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor's in Legal Studies in 2022. During her time at UC Berkeley, she volunteered as a case worker at a student-run renters' legal assistance program. She later became the co-director and trained new volunteers on Bay Area landlord/tenant law. After graduating, she obtained her Paralegal Certificate from UCLA Extension in 2023.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Lin worked as a legal assistant and paralegal for multiple Workers' Compensation defense firms in Northern California. She now takes great pride in working to assist applicants in the complex Workers' Compensation system. She aspires to be a lawyer in the future, hoping to use her expertise to help people in her community.
In her spare time, Ms. Lin enjoys learning new skills and meeting new people. While working full time in the legal field, she obtained both her paralegal certificate and a bartending certificate. She currently works part-time as a bartender at a Chinese restaurant to practice speaking Mandarin and Cantonese. At home she enjoys playing video games, gardening, and spending time with her cat.
